Ableton Live is a popular music production DAW that is both easy to learn but extremely powerful. It’s designed to be an instrument for live performances as well as a tool for composing, recording, arranging, mixing, and mastering.
In your beat making classes, we’ll cover the following topics. Topics can be customized based on the student’s specific needs:
- Setting up Ableton and your interface
- Learning the Arrangement and Session views
- Recording Midi and Audio
- Using instruments
- Using effects (delay, reverb, compression, etc)
- EQ and filtering
- Oscillators and noise generators
- Automation and Envelopes
- Exporting your songs

- Music theory
These lessons are suitable for students of all ages. Many musical genres are covered, and can be tailored to the student’s interest. Most students take one class a week for several weeks to gain knowledge in the workflow and features of Ableton Live. 30-minute and 60-minute sessions available (note, hour long classes are discounted 10%).
