NHTunes is Manchester’s premier recording studio! We can handle all of your recording needs, from voice over, singer/soloists, or full bands, our affordable rates and top quality room & gear will make for a great experience and a professional result! Our rates include an audio engineer, who is trained to run a smooth and efficient session.

Our Space
NHTunes is based in the Waumbec mill in Manchester NH. The building dates back to the mid 1800’s, and although the building interior has been updated, it still retains that terrific ‘old mill’ ambiance. Our main tracking room is a spacious 20′ x 36′, with tall 15′ ceilings – large enough for a GREAT sound! We have two acoustically treated vocal booths, one 5′ x 6′ and one 5′ x 10′, and a professional drum booth to control bleed.
Our Equipment
We feature some of the best audio gear on the planet! Our extensive microphone collection (35+) contains some of the BEST names in microphones, including Neumann, AKG, Lewitt, and Audio Technica. Our preamp collection covers a wide range of tonal needs, with great pieces from: Neve, Grace, Daking, Chamleon Labs, and more. We also have a professional monitoring system with five units that allow each musician to dial in their own custom mix!

We’ve been in our current space for 8 years, and opened the business five years before that, offering on-location recording services. Our clientele varies from local businesses, musicians and bands, to some of the biggest names in the business. We’ve recorded and mixed many commercials for radio, as well as podcasts, & audio books. We teach Audio Engineering through Manchester Community College, and lead engineer Bob Desmarais has even written a book on recording and mixing (available HERE on Amazon)!
